What started with 10 people in Baltimore two years ago has now grown into a national phenomenon of morning mixers for techies. Similar to Blanchard, Schmelzer started his networking venture because he wanted to meet his peers. The CEO of a software startup had a dream of creating a “show & tell” type forum where attendees could learn about new and emerging service but not feel like they were being pitched. Growing rapidly, Schmelzer has expanded the brand to Columbia, DC, Northern Virginia and now Philadelphia.
